Courage - Honsbridge International School - Exceeding Expectations

“What is courage ?”

Courage involves making good choices in the face of fear or obstacles. It’s another term for bravery.

Remember : Bravery doesn’t mean fearlessness. It means we do not let fear hold us back from exploring new opportunities, developing our skills, and doing what is right.

Courage might look like starting a new school, trying a new activity that stretches them, and learning new skills that take effort.

Courage isn’t about something magical that happens inside us to make us ‘not scared’.

It’s about something magical that happens inside us to make us push through fear, self-doubt, anxiety and do the things that feel hard or risky or frightening.

Sometimes, courage only has to happen for seconds at a time – just long enough to be brave enough.
