“Do you love yourself?”
Self-love means accepting yourself fully.
It is not a state of feeling good but rather, is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support one’s physical, psychological, and spiritual growth.
It means nurturing your own happiness, growth, and well-being.
3 types of self-love:
Mental – loving our brains
Physical – loving our bodies
Emotional – loving our feelings and our character
Importance of perseverance:
- Eating a healthy snack
- Sleeping early
- Drinking a glass of water
- Going for a walk
- Playing with your friends
- Taking a bubble bath
- Listening to your favourite songs
- Reading a book
- Drawing pictures
- Talking to a family member or a friend about your day
- Taking a nap
- Play with a pet
- Journaling
Self-love is treating yourself the way you would a friend.
Through positive self-talk and actions, we can learn to talk to ourselves the way we would speak to a friend—always with kindness.
We must try our best to encourage us to compliment, comfort, and motivate ourselves.
“Everyone of us needs to show how much we care for each other and, in the process, care for ourselves.” – Diana, Princess of Wales
